start-of-summer bounty

i love a good farmer's market and a good csa (community supported agriculture). fortunately, i have access to both.

downtown herndon's farmer's market is on thursday mornings.

pastries, beets, rue, and wasabi pickles

we can pick our own bunches of items from among the bounty at potomac vegetable farms on the way back from taking artemis for his allergy shots. it's our first year with them, so we got a mini share - six items every time we come to the farm, which is eight weeks of our choice over the summer. i'll definitely get a larger share next time - everything is so good!
