it seems appropriate, during this afternoon of our second snow of the year, that i post pictures from our first snow of the year.

that's christmas to me

today is the twelfth day of christmas. fortunately, my true loves did NOT follow the song description ;) instead, what they gave me were funny, beautiful, heartful moments of joy.

it's not a proper winter holiday without meadowlark's winter walk of lights.

there were plenty of bright new displays along with returning favorites.

 when your 29th (!) wedding anniversary is on a day where you and your husband are both feeling a bit under the weather and a pandemic prevents you from eating out anyway, you order in:

and the leftovers (soup) were ideal for the first snow day lunch of the year.
