krop's crops: a place just a few minutes' drive away, not too crowded, with a hayride and sheltered corn bin and pretty colored pumpkins and fancy popcorn and quiet animals. perfect for me and my boy on a cool, sunny saturday autumn morning.

when i inquired about the fabulous old treehouse, the owner (and tractor driver) proudly informed me that he built it a long time ago - back when the kids were little - along with the barn and every other structure on the property. all of recycled and salvaged materials. awesome. definitely coming back here for our christmas tree and, hopefully, a picture of that beautiful old red barn in the snow.
