farewell to farmer's market

we will miss our tuesday evening farmer's market in woodland.  thank goodness the saturday market will keep going through october so we can keep getting pastries, honey, fruits & veggies.

i'm so glad we took advantage of the summer evening opportunities to eat indian food or bbq, listen to local bands, munch on kettle corn and sweet produce, bounce in the big bouncy house, and get faces (and arms) painted by our favorite artist, miss april may.

those moments were made sweeter when shared with friends like chris and johanna and their girls, who always made sure the adults had a little something extra to wash down that delicious food.

what a wonderful way to usher out the summer and welcome in the fall.

i love how the market is small enough that i can comfortably send the kids off to do the strawberry shopping on their own.

wearing a birthday gift made for him by a friend. it's his "half-moon bay" shirt showing him flying a kite with daddy.

catie devouring the last berries of the season.

all three kids went through the container with gusto.

diana's taking lots of opportunities to wear her beloved new halloween costume.

the giant zucchini ander had to have from the williams family stand.

miss april may working her artistic magic.  putah creek crawdads playing in the background.

i love love love how they like holding hands together. i hope it lasts a long time.
